Mark your calendars metal fans! The 13th season of That Metal Show will premiere on January 18, 2014, and this season promises to be the best one yet. Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine are returning to their roots for the upcoming season. The shows will all be recorded in New York City this season on a weekly basis, a stark contrast from the past when an entire season was recorded over the course of a week in Los Angeles.
“I’m thrilled that the show is coming back, but I’m really excited that we’re now shooting on a weekly basis, as fans will now have the opportunity to see the new episodes as soon as they are completed,” declared Trunk, the iconic host of the show that has entertained metal fans since November of 2008.
This season will feature fan favorite segments such as “TMS Top 5,” “The Throw Down,” “Put It On The Table” and of course, “Stump The Trunk” to name a few. While the list of upcoming guests for interview and performance segments has yet to be released, it’s safe to say that legendary hard rock and metal acts will grace the stage, just as they have in the previous seasons of TMS.
Season 13 of That Metal Show will feature more episodes (12) than ever before, a true testament to the show’s staying power and mass appeal amongst metal fans. New episodes will air on Saturday nights beginning in January, but fans who need a TMS fix can catch the complete season 12 and brand new exclusive clips at ThatMetalShow.VH1.com and also on the new VH1 app.
The announcement of season 13 of That Metal Show appropriately comes on National Metal Day, giving metal fans another reason to put their horns up \m/\m/.
