This week’s Three For Thursday theme is…
DISENCHANTMENT WITH THE U.S. GOVERNMENT – Love of country is patriotic, however, love of country does not go hand-in-hand with satisfaction of government. For all of the things that we love about America, there are many things that we disapprove of when it comes to government action, or inaction as the case may be. Motionless In White has just recently voiced their opinion, but this is a problem that has existed for many years. Rainbow wrote about it in the early 80’s and Queensryche in the early 90’s, but disenchantment with the U.S. government goes back much further than any of these songs.
